CM Group Acquires Selligent, Omnichannel Cloud Platform

Email marketing combine CM Group has acquired Selligent Marketing, a omnichannel marketing cloud platform based in Brussels, from HGGC, the firm announced on Monday. Terms were not disclosed.

The purchase -- CM Group’s fifth in 24 months -- adds to the growing consolidation within the martech field.

CM Group also owns Campaign Monitor, Sailthru, Emma, Delivra, Vuture and Liveclicker. 

With this deal, CM Group’s annual revenue is set to top $250 million, the firm says. And its head count now exceeds 1,000. 

The purchase was conducted by Campaign Monitor Europe UK LTD. CM Group is owned by Insight Partners.

CM Group plans to “quickly augment mobile app messaging, analytics, and real-time personalization capabilities through our expertise in these areas, while CM Group brands benefit from Selligent’s AI capabilities.”

Selligent will operate as a distinct brand and technology within the group. 

CM Group acquired Vuture, a mobile app messaging firm, in May 2019. At that time, it also announced $410 million in new financing that it said would go toward future acquisitions.

In January of that year, CM Group announced that it had acquired Sailthru and Liveclicker late in 2018.
