Amperity, the provider of a cloud-based customer data platform, has named Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson to its board of directors.
Johnson has brought “a technology-first mindset to Starbucks,” states Kabir Shahani, CEO of Amperity.
Johnson’s approach to using data and modern technology to "build brand loyalty is instructive for every consumer business,” Shahani adds.
For his part, Johnson believes that Amperity can help businesses unlock their digital potential by “unifying first-party customer data and then enabling the insight and personalization that elevates the customer experience and builds brand loyalty.”
It was not clear at deadline whether Johnson’s appointment portends any other relationship between him and Amperity, or between the two firms.
