Email marketers trying to cope with the Promotions folder in Gmail and other hindrances to their mail being read now face another potential inbox barrier — if they don’t do their job well.
Twobird, a free email to-do-list from Ginger Labs, is now available for Microsoft Outlook email users. The app, which helps users simplify their inbox, had been offered for Gmail since launch last year,
The free app allows users to sort items under Reminders and Low Priority. In addition, they can clear out mail with Done and Unsubscribe.
In addition, Twobird users can highlight upcoming events at the top of their inbox, and focus on content with hidden signatures and simple formatting, it says.
Above all, email marketers should seek to avoid excessive unsubscribes to ensure their content is relevant and riveting.
The company hopes to grow “access to our free platform," states Garrett Mitchell, director of Twobird. "By expanding beyond Google Mail, we are now able to reach millions of new users."
Ginger Labs, a productivity app, also offers the Notability.
