CRM platform HubSpot has made a strategic investment in
OneSignal, provider of a tool for customer engagement messaging, OneSignal announced on Wednesday. Details of the transaction were not released.
The partnership between the firms will
provide HubSpot’s base of SMBs mobile and web push notification capabilities. OneSignal will be integrated within HubSpot’s messaging infrastructure.
"The firms share the goal of
building products for a community of customer-oriented developers," states Andrew Lindsay, senior vice president of corporate development and business development at HubSpot.
Joint customers
of the two firms can now send messages via multiple digital channels, using minimal lines of code, HubSpot says.
In addition, they can automate campaigns from the HubSpot dashboard, it
says.
The objective is to make it “easier for developers and marketers to power modern and effective omni-channel messaging experiences,” states George Deglin, CEO of
OneSignal.
In February, HubSpot announced it would acquire The Hustle, an email newsletter publisher with 1.5 million readers, in an effort to expand its own content capability.
