Agari, the provider of an SaaS email anti-phishing tool, has
been acquired by HelpSystems. Terms were not disclosed.
JMP Securities LLC advised Agari on the transaction and Cowen served HelpSystems.
HelpSystems says it seeks to
enhance its email security suite with “adjacent acquisitions.”
Earlier this month, it acquired Beyond Security, a provider of vulnerability assessment services and management. And
it received a minority investment from Harvest Partners SCF.
The goal for the combined companies is to give global customers new tools for securing their valuable data and achieving peace
of mind,” says Kate Bolseth, CEO, HelpSystems.
Agari uses massive data sets, data science and cloud computing to protect companies against email attacks.
"Cybercriminals increasingly use email as a prime way to infiltrate businesses and gain access to sensitive data and IP, causing untold damage in terms of cost and reputation," Bolseth says.
