Rakuten Advertising To Use Magnite CTV Platform Across U.K., Europe

Rakuten Advertising will use the Magnite CTV sell-side advertising platform across Europe and the U.K. to broaden buyers’ access to Rakuten TV ad-supported video-on-demand inventory.

The European countries included are France, Germany, Spain, Italy, the Nordics and Benelux.

Rakuten TV — the first VOD platform in Europe combining AVOD, subscription video-on-demand and transactional video-on-demand, according to the company — offers content from linear channels from global networks, European media groups, and the platform’s own thematic channels that deliver curated content from Hollywood and local studios. It also has a library of more than 10,000 on-demand titles.

The platform reports a reach of more than 90 million households through its branded remote-control button and pre-installed app in smart TVs, and 12 million monthly unique viewers across Europe, with 95% of users watching on CTV.
