Data Axle Acquires Exact Data, Strengthens SMB Presence

Data marketing service firm Data Axle has acquired Exact Data, a provider of multichannel direct marketing services for the SMB market. Terms were not disclosed.

Exact Data will be integrated into Data Axle’s U.S. division, and Data Axle USA will add 40,000 SMBs to its already packed client roster.

The acquisition brings together two ambitious service providers for the SMB market.

Data Axle clients can access tools that can help them with email marketing, lists, data usage, social media advertising, paid search and direct mail in one spot.

Larry Organ, who founded Exact Data in 2001, will now serve as general manager, SMB of Data Axle, reporting to Mark Cullinane, who oversees the SMB market for Data Axle and holds the title of president of local marketing solutions.

“Having already partnered together for more than ten years, we have admired Exact Data’s dedication to the small-to-medium sized marketplace and we knew they would be a natural fit for us as we expand our commitment to this growing industry,” states Michael Iaccarino, CEO and chairman of Data Axle.

Organ adds: “In addition to our companies’ strategic alignment, our vision for the future of data-driven marketing could not be more synchronized."

Organ also founded FastWeb, acquired by Monster Worldwide and JobsOnline, acquired by Acxiom.
