iProspect Wins Luxury Marketer Kering, Accelerates Full-Service Media Transformation

Dentsu International's iProspect unit has been named the global media agency for all of luxury fashion and accessories brands marketer Kering.

The win solidifies iProspect's relaunch as a full-service, end-to-end global media agency from its roots in search and performance media and marketing.

As global media agency of record, iProspect will be responsible for all media planning and buying, integrated across brand and performance marketing for all Kering brands across 42 markets it has a media presence in.

Kering manages the development of a series of renowned "houses" in fashion, leather goods, jewelry and watches, including Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Brioni, Boucheron, Pomellato, DoDo, Qeelin, Ulysse Nardin, Girard-Perregaux, as well as Kering Eyewear.

A new report released by GroupM this week coincidentally predicts luxury will be among the fastest-growing major advertising categories coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic and into the foreseeable future.

iProspect said it will "gradually take charge" of Kering's global media over the course of the first quarter of 2022.

The win follows a four-month agency review that was based on "innovation principles and a fast-tracked process," the agency said in a statement, adding, "Kering sought agility and nimbleness within the response to brief to select its future partner."

“The iProspect team’s digital and data-driven strategic vision and capabilities, its drive for innovation and creativity, along with its constant agile mindset," Kering added in its own statement.

Billings and the incumbent agencies were not disclosed.
