CX platform Emplifi has
launched a live shopping experience called Emplifi ShopStream by Go Instore.
Following Emplifi’s acquisition of Go Instore last September, ShopStream is designed to “harness the power of livestreaming throughout the entire customer journey, from end-to-end,” says Andre Hordagoda, co-GM, Social Commerce, Emplifi.
ShopStream
allows consumers to participate in a livestream video and interact in a real-time chat with a host or advisor, the company says.
Brands can quickly go live with
new campaigns, using a basic phone camera to professional photography equipment, it adds. And, they can amplify influencer events, or deliver immersive demo experiences, the firm
states.
Go Instore brings a live video streaming portfolio to the
table.
McKinsey reports that by March 2020, 265 million people were using livestream shopping, the company notes.
“Live streaming is exploding in popularity around the world and this makes live-streaming ‘shoppable,” Hordagoda adds.
Ribble Cycles used
ShopStream after the pandemic caused it to cancel Cycle Show, one of its biggest events of the year.
“The reach we achieved with ShopStream exceeded what we
would expect to see at the in-person show, with tens of thousands – possibly even hundreds of thousands – tuning in,” states Matthew Lawson, Chief Digital Officer of
Ribble.
