Katz Radio Ups Ramos To EVP, Multicultural Partnerships

Katz Media Group promoted Rick Ramos to executive vice president of Katz Multicultural Partnerships.

He reports to Tucker Flood, president of Eastman Radio at Katz Radio Group.

“People of color are the fastest-growing segment of the U.S. population. It’s important for advertisers to connect with the growing multicultural communities where consumers live,” said Ramos.

Ramos will oversee the creation of multicultural audio marketing campaigns across Katz audio partners, including Univision, Radio One and Entravision. He will continue to lead advocacy efforts for multicultural advertising.

Previously, Ramos worked for Univision Radio, Hispanic Broadcasting Corporation (Spanish Broadcasting System (SBS) and Tichenor Broadcasting in various sales capacities.

“By bringing together the assets of all our broadcast partners, Katz is in the unique position to build effective multicultural campaigns on a national scale with local execution to reach diverse audiences across the country,” said Mark Gray, CEO of Katz Media Group.

Christine Travaglini, president of Katz Radio Group, added that Ramos “has a deep knowledge of multicultural audiences and strong relationships with multicultural ad agencies and brands.”

Most recently, Ramos was SVP of multicultural sales for Katz.

Separately, in mid-June, enterprise software company MadHive and Katz Media Group partnered to bring scale, transparency and privacy compliance to Connected TV for political advertisers.

The companies claim the joint offering will create the largest local CTV marketplace for political advertising, including inventory from MadHive’s local broadcast clients and more than 1,300 publishers and marketplaces from the Katz Digital Video portfolio.
