Leo Burnett Becomes Lead Agency For Germany's Commerzbank

The agency Leo Burnett has won the creative account for Commerzbank. The decision was preceded by a competitive pitch by the Publicis Groupe Germany. Leo Burnett is part of Publicis.

Starting in January, the Frankfurt agency will be charged with Commerzbank's advertising communications as lead agency.

Christian Rätsch, CEO responsible for the creative agencies of Publicis Groupe, added: "We are very proud to be able to hold our own in the competition. We live in a time in which banks have a great social responsibility. Therefore, we are happy to give the brand a strong creative voice with the Commerzbank team."

"Commerzbank is the bank for people and companies in Germany who are looking for a reliable partner at their side in a changing world. ... we continue to develop new perspectives even in challenging times," says Katrin Menne, Head of Brand & Research, Commerzbank AG."
