Interactive Ad Platform Intros Lowest Price Verification For Shoppable Videos

KERV Interactive, an AI-powered digital advertising platform, has added verified lowest price and in-stock capabilities to it interactive products for connected TV (CTV) and online video.

The platform, which identifies objects in video and makes them interactive and shoppable, can now correlate objects with multiple existing product feed integrations in real time to determine whether the object/product is being offered at the lowest available price.

KERV says it has hundreds of retailer integrations, resulting in most clients’ requests connecting with the 70 top retailers in the U.S.

If a competitive retailer is offering a lower price, the solution alerts the user retailer, which can then decide whether to dynamically lower its own price to match the competitor’s or serve the ad without the Verified Lowest Price promise. That indicator is accompanied by a description that informs consumers about the methodology/extent of the promise, according to the company.

The solution also enables verifying whether an item is in stock.

Brands can use the solution to target deal-seekers, offer competitive pricing and identify the local retailer that has the item in stock at the best price within their videos — a potential edge during this year’s inflation-influenced holiday season, notes the company.

If a featured product is out of stock, advertisers can use the solution to dynamically offer the most visually similar product.

Retailers can also glean user intent data, coupled with competitor insights, on current deals offered in the marketplace.
