Virtual events platform Flox has announced the appointment of “experiential marketing” pioneer Brian Diamond as North American CEO. Diamond will lead the company's expansion, helping to scale the business and shape innovation strategies, according to a recent statement.
Flox's 3D virtual platform offers metaverse experiences to business, HR and marketing leaders across industries, inviting them to switch their in-person events for more immersive experiences. By doing so, Flox claims businesses will see a return on investment and “calculable CO2 savings.”
Diamond was an early proponent of the concept of experiential marketing –– “a creative twist on event production and event marketing” –– having worked previously as founder and CEO of an experiential agency known as The Visionary Group, as well as manufacturer White Walls Fabrication, boasting a client list including Microsoft, Google, Meta, Amazon, Netflix and Warner Bros.
Diamond will help harness Flox’s ongoing relationships with North American-based clients across the FMCG, retail, financial services and tech sectors, working with Flox founders Alistair Bryan and Jaie Genadt to deliver “immersive, creative and engaging 3D meetings across a wide range of industry applications.”
“I was seeking a partnership role where we would mutually benefit from my decades of experiential marketing experience and the potential capabilities within this expanding sector,” says Diamond, adding that “there’s a time and a place for in-person events, but in the digital era, absorbing information in a creative way more than matters.”
