Peacock Promotion Cuts Price To $19.99 For One Year

While some premium streamers are raising monthly subscription prices, NBCU’s Peacock is joining Walt Disney’s Hulu in going in the other direction -- in the short term, with a big summer price-cut promotion.

For a limited time, Peacock is offering one year for a $19.99 promotion --- which effectively means a $1.67/month price tag. The promotion runs May 24 to June 12.

The special yearly price tag is more than half off the regular annual ad-supported Peacock Premium subscription -- $50/year.

Peacock Premium regularly can also be bought monthly -- at $4.99/month.

Overall, these Peacock consumers will have access to more than 80,000 hours of content and 50 channels as well as high-profile sports programming -- “Sunday Night Football,” “WWE,” Premier League and “MLB Sunday Leadoff.”

Peacock Premium also gives consumers key next-day access to linear TV NBC Television Network and Bravo aired shows.

Subscribers can also get Peacock original shows such as “Rainn Wilson and the Geography of Bliss,” ‘Bupkis,” “Mrs. Davis,” “Bel-Air,” “Poker Face,” “Meet Cute,” “A Friend of the Family” and others.

Peacock is not the only premium streaming service looking at steep price promotions.

A now seemingly regular Hulu summer promotion features a special monthly price tag this year of $2/month for three months for the basic ad-supported Hulu option.

Its regular price is $7.99/month. The promotion ends May 27.
