Data automation firm Fivetran has named Rachel Thornton as chief marketing officer. 

The new CMO will be tasked with overseeing brand, customer, partners, field and product marketing, public relations, analyst relations and events.

Thornton has worked in marketing and leadership roles at Amazon/AWS, Salesforce, Cisco Systems and Microsoft.

“Rachel shares our mission to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity,” says Taylor Brown, to whom Thornton will report. “She’s exactly the right person to lead marketing as we continue our rapid growth trajectory around the world.”
