Dentsu on Wednesday
announced the departure of Doug Rozen as CEO of Dentsu Media in the Americas.
It did not disclose why Rozen was leaving nor did it name an explicit successor, but it said Merkle's media
capabilities were being placed under iProspect, which will be headed by former Merkle Chief Media Officer Liz Rutgersson, now CEO of iProspect North America.
Dentsu's two other media
operations -- Carat and Dentsu X -- were not affected by the restructuring, but Dentsu also announced that Merkle's "performance creative businesses and Dentsu's media brands" were being "unified"
under its creative network, Dentsu Creative, which will be co-led by Merkle Chief Creative Officer Amy Thorne and Dentsu International head of creative and content and executive creative director
Octavio Maron.
Dentsu also said its analytics capabilities were being restructured under Merkle's analytics practice, which will be lead by Global Head of Analytics and Data Platforms Shirli
Zelcer, who had been Merkle's global head of analytics and technology.
Lastly, iProspect CEO Danielle Gonzales was named chief growth officer, Dentsu Americas.
