Ogilvy New York Selects Ansari As Chief Creative Officer

Samira Ansari has been named Chief Creative Officer for Ogilvy New York.

Previously, Ansari was CCO at Deutsch New York.

At Ogilvy, she will work with Darla Price, Ogilvy NY president, on various accounts, including IBM, Coca-Cola Company, Nestlé, Verizon, Samsung, H&R Block, IKEA, Audi of America and Nationwide.

Price lauded Ansari's "unique combination of powerhouse creative thinking, innovative spirit and talent magnet ability. She’s an industry firebrand."

At Deutsch NY, Ansari led creative efforts for clients including Village MD, City MD, PNC Bank, Dr. Praeger’s and the global and U.S. Galderma business. Val DiFebo, CEO, Deutsch NY, said of her departure: "Being the springboard for such massive talent, I can't help but feel a sense of pride. We wish her success in this next chapter of her career."

Before her Deutsch tenure, the award-winning creative (Cannes Lions, D&AD, Effies) worked for FCB New York, where she created Michelob ULTRA Courtside with NBA and Microsoft. "U by Kotex" is one of Ansari’s key campaigns, changing the way sanitary products are marketed to women.

Chris Beresford-Hill, President-Chief Creative Officer for Ogilvy, North America, said he was jealous of Ansari's previous work, adding "to win at scale with our clients, we need the best. Samira is the best."

Ogilvy, a WPP company, earned the No. 1 spot on WARC’s Creative 100 and Effective 100 in March.
