Honda Aims To Connect With Younger Consumers At TwitchCon

Honda is planning a “uniquely immersive experience” for consumers gathered at TwitchCon, of which it is a sponsor.

The automaker will use the Oct. 20-22 event in Las Vegas to showcase its gaming and esports initiatives, including an exclusive preview of the next Hondaverse map in Fortnite, where gamers can virtually explore the 2024 Honda Prologue.

The player who lands the best Hondaverse score throughout TwitchCon weekend will win an all-new Honda Motocompacto.

Honda will use the event to display its newest all-electric products, including the Prologue, Honda’s first all-electric SUV arriving early next year, and the all-new Honda Motocompacto, a new ultra-compact Honda e-scooter designed for urban mobility.

The automaker is also bringing its partnership with Team Liquid to Las Vegas, where TwitchCon attendees will have multiple opportunities throughout the weekend to collect and win limited edition merchandise and meet their favorite Team Liquid talent.

Honda and Twitch first brought the Hondaverse to life in summer 2022. The Hondaverse is Honda's fully immersive virtual world within Fortnite’s creative mode, with maps featuring the HR-V, CR-V Hybrid and Pilot TrailSport.

The Hondaverse was independently developed in Fortnite using Fortnite's Creative Toolset and is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by Epic Games, Inc. With Fortnite's Creative Toolset, anyone can build their own online experience for free and share it with Fortnite's audience around the world.

Honda’s collaboration with Twitch connects the brand with fans of gaming and entertainment while deepening its relationship with young adult, first-time and multicultural buyers via the first-ever auto branded gaming channel on the service, Honda Head2Head, per the automaker.

The partnership also includes a dedicated lifestyle channel called Honda DreamLab that features trending topics, including gaming, fashion and music.
