NewsNation Counters A Fox News Channel Super Bowl Promo

NewsNation has launched a new on-air promotional ad in an effort to explain and counter a similar marketing tag line recently started up by Fox News Network -- which aired during the Super Bowl. NewsNation says the Fox spot riffed off its original campaign which started four years ago.

NewsNation, the Nexstar Media Group-owned 24/7 cable news channel, had been airing its “News For All America” TV marketing brand theme since August 2021.

Then, just two months ago, in December 2024, NewsNation slightly updated this tagline to say “News For All Americans.”

Just this past Sunday, February 9 -- during the Super Bowl on the Fox Television Network -- a Fox News Channel promotional spot aired in the first and fourth quarters of the game, ending with the brand theme “For All America.”

To counter this promo, NewsNation started up a new promo on February 10 in a 30-second spot.

The spot starts this way: “News for All Americans,” says Chris Cuomo, a prime-time host on NewsNation, from a clip taken from his show on Monday. "Fox News runs an ad that ends like this... For All America'."

Then the theme line appears onscreen from Fox’s promo.

“Sound familiar?” says Cuomo. “Of course it does. They took it from NewsNation. Why are none of the main players from Fox in the ad?”

The promo concludes with an on-screen text, saying: “Because only one network walks the walk... News for All Americans.”

NewsNation representatives had no comment in response to inquiries by Television News Daily.
