AI will continue to automated processes across Google. This feature, which relies on automation, uses a business’s marketing content to improve on visibility across Google products rolled out on Thursday.

Enrollment is automatic, but companies can opt out through Merchant Center settings.

Automation depends on accurate data and algorithms, but an overreliance can lead to compliance and outdated information if left solely to machines. It also can lead to the potential for errors if not checked by humans.

Google’s feature serves up the information in search to alert consumers and those searching the web about new arrivals, sales or ongoing promotions, social-media profiles, and others to display in places across Google such as Search, Shopping, and Maps.

Google will extract marketing information through automatic signups, or direct submissions when companies add Google’s dedicated email address to their marketing lists.
