Reddit Releases Dynamic Ads To All Advertisers

A year after Reddit first unveiled its newest ad product – Dynamic Product Ads – the public social messaging company has announced the release of the ad tool to all advertisers.

Reddit introduced Dynamic Product Ads shortly after it finalized its IPO.

The feature combines shopping signals with machine learning and advertiser product catalogs to introduce products to users within related subreddits.

Last month, when Reddit began testing this new ad feature with a handful of brands, the company said the Dynamic Product Ads sprung from two key findings -- that an average of 40% of new conversations on Reddit are related to purchase decisions and product categories, and that 75% of shoppers reported that they can have genuine discussions about which products or brands to check out on Reddit.

By natively introducing relevant products within subreddits, where user-to-user discussion on the app unfolds, Reddit is hoping people can connect with products the moment they’re seeking them out.

Beyond utilizing images and pricing directly from a brand’s catalog, these placements also include retargeting functionality, making it possible for advertisers to display products that users have already engaged with on the brand’s website.

Since launching the Dynamic Product Ads in beta last year, Reddit says it has delivered positive results:

In Q1 2025, advertisers who ran both Dynamic Product Ads and standard conversion campaigns saw 2x higher Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) with Dynamic Product Ads,” the company states, adding that there has also been a 4x annual increase in the number of catalogs hosted on the platform between March 2024 and March 2025.

Reddit has also partnered with ad platform Smartly, inviting advertisers to “plan, create, personalize, launch, and measure” their campaigns within a unified space.
