
Skydance Media has announced its senior executive
team that will run Paramount Global -- as its $8 billion takeover of the company starts August 7.
The company will be divided into three businesses: studios, direct-to-consumer and TV
media.
David Ellison -- CEO of Skydance -- will be chairman/CEO of Paramount Global. Former NBCUniversal CEO Jeff Shell will be president of Paramount Global, a position that was
previously announced.
George Cheeks, who has been co-CEO of Paramount, will now be chair of TV Media for Paramount Global, adding cable TV networks to his responsibilities.
Former
Netflix executive Cindy Holland, vice president of original content, will be chair of Direct-To-Consumer. She had previously advised Skydance on the streaming business, and will now oversee Paramount+
and Pluto TV.

Holland departed Netflix in 2020. In July 2023, she became CEO of SISTER, a global independent studio.
Skydance Content Chief Dana Goldberg will be now be co-chair of
Paramount Pictures and chair of Paramount Television.
Current Paramount senior movie executive Josh Greenstein will be co-chair of Paramount Pictures and vice-chair of Platforms. Before
Paramount, he was president of Sony Pictures’ Motion Picture Group.
Ellison started up Skydance Media in 2010 as an on-the-lot Paramount Pictures producer making big Hollywood movie
franchises "Top Gun" and "Mission Impossible." TV series include Netflix’s "Grace and Frankie," Apple TV+'s "Foundation" and Prime Video’s “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan.
