Social media abounds with concoctions that put a
twist on beverage staples with unexpected added ingredients, like pouring Coca-Cola over a glass lined with marshmallow fluff, or adding pickles to Dr. Pepper. PepsiCo is leaning into the trend with
the expansion of its Drips by Pepsi platform at Regal Theatres locations.
Drips by Pepsi is already in 60 Regal locations, and will expand to most Regal Theatres nationally this fall. PepsiCo
is also building on the platform with a new flavor developed specifically for the Regal partnership, designed to appeal to current trends: Pepsi Cherry Boba Burst features Pepsi Zero Sugar poured over
cherry boba, topped with sweet cream cold foam, and mini marshmallows.
Other Drips flavors include Starry Dragonfruit Blast, which combines Starry and watermelon, garnished with dragon
fruit; and Tropicana Cotton Candy Lemonade, which features Tropicana Lemonade poured over candy boba, finished with floating cotton candy.

In a statement, PepsiCo Away From Home CMO Scott
Finlow said that the platform made Pepsi part of the “magic” of going to the movies, with flavors that bring “a fresh twist on the classics [and] match the vibe of every
moviegoer.”
Drips by Pepsi initially debuted at Regal locations in Knoxville, Tennessee, and Times Square in New York City, earlier this year. PepsiCo introduced the platform through a
series of pop-up events last year before bringing it to New Orleans for Super Bowl Weekend 2025.
The expansion is indicative of the investment PepsiCo is making in the away-from-home category,
which is an “opportunity for us to create more occasions, accelerate growth in in our brands…it's been a focus for us for quite some time…Now, we're adding layers of
innovation,” said CEO Ramon Laguarta on a July earnings call.
Laguarta noted that it was “a bigger part of the business in beverages than it is in foods,” adding, “You
will see us putting more resources against that channel [and] more innovation beyond what is the physical availability of our products in those channels.”
