
Retailers seeking to boost
retention have a new capability, thanks to a partnership between marketing automation platform Listrak and Rivo, a retention tool built for Shopify Plus.
The arrangement, announced on
Thursday, enables brands to “zero in on their most devoted customers and spark connections that actually stick,” says Alex Lazoff, chief revenue officer, Rivo, in a statement.
The
partnership allows retailers to convert one-time buyers into repeat customers, using these tools:
- Personalized email and SMS marketing based on loyalty and referral
data, including points balance, tiers, and referrals
- Trigger-based journeys from loyalty events
- Listrak flows triggered by key Rivo events such
as tier upgrades, new referrals, points and "expiring soon" messaging

- Customized referrals — enables marketers to include each customer's unique referral URL directly in emails or SMS
messages
"Given the high cost of new customer acquisition, it is imperative that retailers convert first-time buyers into repeat shoppers, which requires treating loyal customers as VIPs,"
says Leah Beitler, vice president, partnerships and ecosystem, Listrak.
When consumers click through a personalized email or SMS message, “they can instantly be recognized for the
VIP that they are,” Beitler adds.
