Polestar Goes Cinematic For New Model

Polestar’s latest creative feels more like the beginning of a spy thriller than a marketing pitch.

The 3-minute film showcasing the Polestar 5 four-door performance Grand Tourer stars actor Alexander Skarsgård, who has driven a Polestar 3 since 2024.

Produced entirely by Polestar’s in-house creative team, the compelling film offers an immersive look at the vehicle's design, innovation and performance.

Skarsgård, known for “Succession” and “Big Little Lies,” plays a secret agent in the ad. With the premise that he’s interested in acquiring the electric vehicle, he guides viewers through the key features of the Polestar 5.

The viewer quickly realizes this isn’t a typical dealership walkaround at the 15-second mark when Skarsgård asks “It hasn't been assigned to another agent, has it?”

Pierce, the sales consultant, never loses his cool, although he appears slightly befuddled with questions like “Does it turn invisible?” and inquiries into the location of the “flamethrower.”

"Plenty of room for a jet pack," he says, observing the cargo space in the rear trunk.

The vehicle is built on the Polestar Performance Architecture using bonded aluminum to provide supercar-level torsional rigidity, increased safety and lighter weight than steel. It is capable of 0–60 mph in just 3.1 seconds.

"Fantastic. Tomorrow's not dead yet," states Skarsgård's character, emphasizing the fact that with Polestar 5, the future is already here.

The film is available on Polestar’s social media channels, including YouTube and Facebook
