Ballz on the Wallz Keeps Sazerac's RTD Cocktail Cold This Holiday Season

Move, over Elf on a Shelf, BuzzBallz is serving up Ballz on the Wallz for the holidays.  

The RTD cocktail brand has launched its latest holiday flavor, Elf Maple Syrup Sundae, inspired by the holiday classic film “Elf.” The limited-edition flavor is made up of Buddy the Elf's favorite food groups, including maple syrup and marshmallow flavors.

The limited-edition Ballz on the Wallz shelf cocktail kit features six 200-ml Elf Maple Syrup Sundae BuzzBallz on a decorative holiday shelf. The shelf's reusable ice packs keep the Ballz “perfectly chilled for up to three hours -- no cords, no outlets,” and includes festive LED lights.

The Ballz on the Wallz cooling shelf is available exclusively via ReserveBar for $25. The brand will drop the promo in three waves, starting Nov. 14, followed by Nov. 22 and Dec. 3.

The Elf Maple Syrup Sundae BuzzBallz are also available individually in 187-ml and 200-ml sizes through the holiday season in stores nationwide.

BuzzBallz’ other holiday flavors are Holiday Nog, a blend of vanilla custard and nutmeg, and Peppermint Bark, described as “chocolate flavor with a frosty mint finish.”

The brand’s is promoting the cocktail kit and holiday flavors via its X, Facebook and Instagram platforms.

Founded in 2009, BuzzBallz were invented by high school teacher Merrilee Kick, who created the idea as her master's degree thesis project. Sales began in 2010, and the company was acquired Sazerac in April 2024 in a deal estimated by Forbes to be worth at least $500 million. Circana recently reported BuzzBallz sales grew 75%, from $68 million to $159 million, year to date through May 18.
