Bubly sparkling water has partnered with Illumination and Nintendo's “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” on new limited-edition flavors, color-changing character cans and a space-themed giveaway in advance of the film’s Apr. 1, 2026, release.

The three new Super Mario Galaxy Movie-themed flavors are Meteor Melon (watermelon lime), Cosmic Swirl (vanilla berry) and Dragonfruit Stardust (pineapple dragonfruit), available in 8-packs. The new flavors are housed in cans that feature Lumas, the “helper” character from the Super Mario universe, and change color when chilled.

“Super Mario is one of the most timeless and beloved franchises in entertainment, inspiring a sense of adventure and exploration for fans of every generation,” said Michael Smith, vice president of marketing for bubly Sparkling Water. “…we're thrilled to bring the magic of this universe into the grocery aisle and be part of fans' excitement leading up to the film.”

As part of the collab, Bubly has incorporated a space-themed “Galaxy Getaway” contest into the promotion. Hidden inside the movie-themed packs are 50 bubly “Galaxy” cans that feature the Rosalina character. Consumers who find the limited cans will win the grand prize trip for two to NASA's Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Merritt, FL. The contest runs through May 8, 2026.

Each of the film-themed cans has a scannable feature that gives customers “Star Bits,” which are collectible points that can be used for movie tickets and exclusive limited-edition merchandise.

The core Bubly flavor cans are getting the Super Mario treatment as well, with designs featuring various characters such as Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi and Bowser Jr.

The film-themed flavors and cans are available now in stores nationwide as well as via TikTok Shop. Bubly is promoting the Super Mario Galaxy Movie collab via its social media platforms @bublywater.
