Jaguar Land Rover CMO Charlotte Blank is
shifting into a different position at the company.
“As I step into my new role leading the Defender brand, I’m feeling especially proud to celebrate International
Women’s Day by spotlighting the incredible women who embody the spirit of Defender every day,” Blank wrote in a LinkedIn post on Wednesday. “From adventurers and competitors to
engineers and community heroes, these women show what it means to embrace the impossible: with courage, resilience, and purpose. Happy International Women’s Day to all the women embracing the
impossible... and to everyone who champions them.”
Blank has been CMO since October 2022.

"As part of our ongoing strategy
putting our brands at the heart of everything we do, I am honored to be taking on the role of Brand Director for Defender and Discovery for North America continuing to build this brand in this
critical market," Blank said in a statement provided to Marketing Daily.
The CMO duties are being split between Stuart Schorr and Danny Zhu, according to a JLR
spokesperson.
Schorr, who has been at JLR for 17 years and is vice president, marketing and public relations communications, will oversee communications, public relations,
retail, brand experience and customer relationship management.
Zhu, who has been at the automaker for 2 years and four months and is director of digital marketing, will lead
media, performance marketing and research, says the spokesperson, who declined to elaborate on what motivated the switch.
Blank first joined the automaker in February 2022 as
director of transformation and analytics where she oversaw organizational transformation, market research, and data analytics for the automaker's North American operations.
As
CMO, she was charged with overseeing U.S. marketing strategy and operations, including the transformation and analytics function, reporting directly to Joe Eberhardt, Jaguar Land Rover North America
president and chief executive officer.
Eberthardt, who has a background in marketing and has been at JLR for 12 years and four months, handled marketing duties after the departure of Kim McCullough in April 2020.
Eberthardt’s
LinkedIn profile says his current CEO duties include “lead all sales, marketing, service, and customer experience activities across North America. Drive governance excellence, strategic
planning, and profitable growth in a highly competitive luxury segment.”
Schorr and Zhu report to Eberhardt.
JLR's U.S. sales took a significant hit in 2025. The
automaker's retail sales fell in all markets between October and December, including a 13.3% drop in the UK. North America was down 37.7%, Europe fell by 26.9% and China was down 18.4%.
The automaker had to pay $520 million in
additional tariffs since President Donald Trump raised duties on autos imported into the U.S. from April 2025, CFO Richard Molyneux said.
