GUT New York office
has upped Brian Mekjian and Ryan McCarthy to executive creative directors from CDs.
The creative duo has worked on several campaigns for the agency, including Turtle Beach, now the
brand's AOR, which it won in March. Additional creative includes Verizon's Don't Be a Stranger” campaign, Wild Turkey's “Don’t
Change a Damn Thing” and Kimberly-Clark.
As EDCs, they are focused on nurturing junior talent and bringing in new business.
“This role doesn’t really
change how we work. It just lets us focus all our attention on helping the team execute to the level we know they are capable of. This agency becomes the place for everyone to make the ideas they've
always wanted to make, without sacrificing the craft they deserve,” McCarthy told People on the Move.
