Paramount is helping President Trump celebrate the American flag and his birthday by live-streaming the long-awaited Ultimate Fighter event on the White House lawn this coming Sunday.

The company, known as Paramount Skydance, has stepped up to support this pet project of the President’s as it awaits regulatory approval for its proposed purchase of Warner Bros. Discovery.

Sunday, June 14 is Flag Day, when all Americans are encouraged to fly the stars and stripes. 

The day also happens to be the President’s birthday and the linkage between Flag Day and the day of his birth is not lost on the patriotic prez.

To honor himself and the all-American sport of no-holds-barred brawling, a temporary arena has been constructed on the White House South Lawn, a portion of the White House grounds that heretofore was just boring grass.

But now, the site is being enlivened with a 92-foot-high arena imported from Belgium that is capable of accommodating anywhere from 4,000 to 5,000 spectators, according to online estimates.

In addition, a watch party is being staged on the 52-acre site south of the White House grounds known as the Ellipse, where as many as 100,000 additional spectators are expected to gather and watch the action on giant screens.

Paramount Skydance’s streaming unit, Paramount+, is the official live-streamer of the event.

For Paramount, this Sunday’s blockbuster telecast represents the start of a new season of “The Ultimate Fighter.”

Titled “The Ultimate Fighter: Team Cormier Vs. Team Bisping,” the event kicks off a celebration of America’s 250th birthday -- UFC Freedom 250 -- spearheaded by Trump’s friend and fan, Dana White, president of UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship).

Cormier and Bisping are two former UFC champions who are now coaching opposing teams.

With his birthday coinciding with Flag Day and UFC’s celebration of the nation’s 250th, this Sunday’s unprecedented use of White House property is of paramount importance to President Trump.

Thus, it is no surprise that of all the streaming services in all the world, Paramount+ made its way to the front of the line.
