RPA Sharpens AMPM's 'Good Stuff' Platform

Convenience store ampm is unveiling a new integrated campaign from RPA — the retailers first use of AI-assisted creative tools.

The ad launches primarily in California, Washington, Oregon, Nevada and Arizona. The campaign runs across digital display, OLV, CTV and digital OOH. It also airs on TV in Los Angeles during Dodgers games.

The agencys creative is a shift from previous animatronic snack characters and in-store humor. Products and people were photographed and filmed with AI-generative tools, which were then used to create an immersive, hyper-realistic visual environment.

RPA’s new work supplies a lively colorful framing, sharpening the brand’s “Too Much Good Stuff” platform. It also underscores a shift in how convenience retail marketing is positioned.

RPA introduced Too Much Good Stuff over 25 years ago. The campaign has been through several evolutions, but the idea of ampm being the place where you go to choose from an overwhelming amount of tasty and tempting items has always been consistent,” Adam Lowrey, RPA Chief Creative Officer, told Out to Launch.

“This new campaign is the largest executional departure, but also the most overt expression of the smorgasbord that is Too Much Good Stuff. The visual expression has always been the store, but this time we wanted fans to experience it as a feeling.

WPP is in charge of media.

Owned by BP America, ampm has stores on the West Coast, New York and Georgia.
