Turtlebox Audio, a leading manufacturer of portable audio devices, selected McGarrah Jessee as its first
creative AOR.
The account was won after a national competitive review.
The 11-year-old company was founded by four friends building a speaker that could survive tough outdoor
conditions. Now, the brand is known for sound, waterproof design and durability. Turtlebox also uses its “Box Sessions” platform to share artists stories with fans.
McJ's remit is
brand strategy, producing a creative platform and spearheading integrated advertising, social, content partnerships and experiential work.
“Turtlebox is delivering sound and music in a
space where people are trying to disconnect from their phones and connect with nature, friends and family. That gives them a chance to become a one-of-one brand,” said Jason Campbell, Chief
Creative Officer at McJ.

McJ’s first work will support Turtlebox’s 2026 holiday season, followed by a new brand campaign launching in March 2027. Turtlebox ranked No. 84
on the 2025 Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America.
“Turtlebox has always lived where music and the outdoors meet. It started with people who wanted
sound on the boat, at camp, at the beach, all the places regular speakers weren’t built to go. Now we have a chance to build an entire world around that on a national scale,” said
Jonathan McKenzie, co-founder of Turtlebox. “McGarrah Jessee understands that. They have built brands that become part of people’s identity. Of all the agencies we connected with, McJ
captured the brand most authentically.”
The Austin, Texas-based agency’s client work includes YETI, Shiner, Whataburger, Brooks Running and Fender.
