It's Not Just TV, It's The King Of All Media

In a deal announced this morning with Warner Bros. Discovery's HBO Max, the "King of All Media" will be back on TV after a 13-year hiatus.

HBO Max will begin airing weekly, filmed episodes of SiriusXM's "The Howard Stern Show" in the wee hours (3 AM ET) on Thursdays beginning September 17.

Stern, 72, who has mostly been a king of radio media -- beginning as an over-the-air radio host and eventually television with the Howard Stern "Interview" on E! Entertainment in the early 1990s, and more recently via a video-on-demand subscription version of "Howard TV On Demand," which was distributed by iNDemand, which ended in 2013.

That is unless you include YouTube as a form of TV -- which nowadays seems semantic to some, but not so much for Gen Z -- you can still watch weekly versions of his "Interview" on the Google streaming platform.

This week's installment, by the way, features a reposting of Stern's 2023 interview with the late, great Dolly Parton.
