Halloween is coming, which means
scary movies, and this year, scary beer.
“While most people run from Michael Myers, Voodoo Ranger is embarking on a Slasher Manhunt, a search for real people legally named
Michael Myers,” according to Bloody
Disgusting. “They just want to buy him a beer.”
The fast-growing craft beer brand is celebrating Halloween by searching for people who share the name Michael Myers.
Those who can prove their name is Michael Myers could win cash, a year’s supply of Voodoo Ranger beer and other prizes.
The effort includes "Party Without Fear" in New
York City on Oct. 7, a Halloween activation created in partnership with "Halloween: The Game." Consumers named Michael Myers will be invited to Ray’s on the Lower East Side to show a valid ID
for a special reward, while guests can enjoy Slasher IPA, game demos and exclusive giveaways.

“Slasher IPA is Voodoo Ranger’s collaboration beer for the
Halloween: The Game partnership, brewed to mark the launch of the new video game and available exclusively in a limited-edition Hoppy Pack,” according to Porch Drinking.
Voodoo Ranger will reveal select winners and share their stories on Oct. 19,
Michael Myers’ birthday.
“There are some names that we cannot imagine having,” according to Nerdist. “Life must be pretty interesting for anyone named
Michael Jordan or Michael Jackson, right? And we bet it is even weirder for someone named Michael Myers. We are sure that most parents did not intend to name their child after a slasher
villain… or maybe they did. Us horror fans are a strange bunch sometimes.”
