    The MailOnline recorded more than 120 million global monthly unique browsers last month, a 28.9% increase over June 2012, according to figures released by ABC. The newspaper website achieved an average 8.1 million unique browsers each day, 37.9% higher than in June 2012. This marks the second successive month that the MailOnline exceeded 8 million. Its iPhone app had 902,794 global monthly unique browsers during the month, up 64% over June 2012, and its Android app had 602,397 global visitors, up 225.1%.

    Internet traffic to legal pornography sites in the UK comprised 8.5% of all "clicks" on web pages in June - exceeding those for shopping, news, business or social networks, according to new data obtained exclusively by the Guardian. Only "arts and entertainment" - a category that is boosted by Google's video site YouTube - and search engines were bigger, at 9.5% and 15.7% respectively.

    The BBC has had double cause to celebrate the royal birth, after the event was credited with netting the broadcaster its single biggest day of web traffic ever, with 19.4m unique browsers logging in to follow developments on Monday. This figure smashed a previous record high set at the peak of the English riots on 9 August 2011 when 18.2m logged in to track the mayhem.

    The longer, bespoke idents will feature Foster's campaign stars Brad and Dan sitting in front of a TV which shows a Fosters-styled anagram. The Channel 4 announcer will invite viewers to to give the letters "the old switcheroo" and will then point them to tweet the answer using the hashtag #goodcall when they have worked it out. At the end of the break the broadcaster's announcer will reveal whether viewers 'made the good call' by answering correctly as well as naming one lucky winner's Twitter handle live on air.

    One of Britain's best-loved 80's kid's TV shows is to be revived for a special one-of episode, it has been revealed. The episode of Knightmare, a roleplaying game in which contestants had to complete quests in a CGI fantasy world, has been produced for YouTube's Geek Week to be held on August 4-10 - a celebration of gaming, science fiction and comics. The show's original creator has produced the episode, which will feature Jessie Cave (Harry Potter) and Isy Suttie (Peep Show), along with the show's original dungeon master character, Treguard.

    UK mobile video viewers would reach 15.5 million in 2013. Three out of five smartphone users in the UK have watched broadcast or cable network content such as video and entertainment on their phone, according to a new survey. Mojiva's latest survey revealed that about 60% of UK smartphone users had installed at least four or more entertainment apps on their phones, excluding games.

    Police are investigating a Twitter account which has been releasing a wave of private correspondences between some of the major players in the long-running crisis surrounding Rangers Football Club, including PR guru and Media House founder Jack Irvine. For several months, the @CharlotteFakes account has been revealing private email and audio conversations between some of the key figures in the drama engulfing the club.

    Mirror Group Digital enjoyed record website traffic in June thanks to the Sunday People's Nigella Lawson picture scoop. Monthly visitors to the Mirror.co.uk website, which hosts Sunday People content, rocketed to nearly 30 million unique users, up 11.73% compared with May. The Sunday People's pictures of Charles Saatchi grabbing Lawson by the throat were available exclusively on the Mirror site for a period that saw daily browsers leap to 1,440,082, up 16.05% on the previous month.
  • More Than Half Of Videos In May's Mail Online Were Ads
    More than half of all videos posted on Mail Online in May were adverts according to the latest figures from comScore, which revealed UK newspapers posted more than 22.6 million videos in total on their sites during the month - a massive 181% year-on-year increase. Overall, 42% of all ads on newspaper sites were adverts. More than 8,000 of Mail Online's videos were ads, 51% in total, while the Guardian posted 6,312, 31% of all videos.
