
Media agency veteran
Jon Mandel has joined the advisory board of online data targeting company eXelate.
The company, which claims to be the first and the largest open marketplace for online targeting data, says
Mandel will play an active role on the company's board.
"After decades of planning and buying media, as well as analyzing consumer data, it's clear to me that digital targeting data is the new
DNA for improving the effectiveness of advertising media planning and buying," stated Mandel.
Mandel has been a senior-level media executive at Group M's Mediacom, where he was chairman and
co-CEO and previously, chief negotiating officer. Most recently, he was chief executive officer at NielsenConnect, leaving the company after three years this past February.
One main focus for
eXelate is targeted online demographic, behavioral and purchase intent data for its "Data Anywhere" initiative.
The company say its eXchange system includes more than 40 advertising network
and agency buyers and dozens of leading publishers that deliver targeting data on over 150 million unique users, the largest visitor pool among data exchanges.
