New Services Offer Location-Based Product Alerts

This week brought a number of new location-based mobile marketing services that will enable brands to reach consumers with product messages when shoppers are near the potential point of sale.

First up, Mobiquity Networks announced it has joined forces with ShopAdvisor to introduce a new location-based marketing service, which will use Mobiquity Networks' mall-based network of mobile beacons to notify ShopAdvisor app users when their favorite products are for sale near them.

Mobiquity Networks currently reaches 220 major malls across the U.S., with plans to expand to over 20 more in the near future. ShopAdvisor’s list of retail partners includes over 16,000 chains and businesses, with information on about 210 million products.

Also this week, Bond Brand Loyalty unveiled a new consumer mobile loyalty service for CPG brands, called SynapzeShop. The new product allows brands to create branded apps that deliver personalized offers to customers who have signed up for their loyalty and rewards programs, including location-based offers and messages, delivered via geolocation and iBeacon technology.

Finally, Mobeam introduced its redesigned Android app for Beep’nGo coupons and offers, which offers users aggregation of in-store discounts, offers, and coupons from leading national retailers, brands, and CPG companies. The in-store app allows users to find coupons and deals that are currently available where they are shopping, weeding out irrelevant offers based on physical location.
