ZenithOptimedia, part of Publicis Groupe, has acquired performance-based marketing agency Frubis, Latin America, and will absorb the company into Performics Worldwide.
Buenos Aires-based Frubis, founded in 2009 by former Googlers, employees more than 60 people. Performance media includes measurable, biddable channels such as paid search, programmatic display and paid social, and has seen considerable global growth in recent years, with expected growth of 19.1% globally for 2015, per eMarketer.
Frubis expanded into Colombia in 2012, with an office in Bogota, supporting display advertising, social media, search engine optimization, search engine marketing, programmatic buying, analytics, and data management and planning. It names AIG, BBVA, Falabella, Direct TV, Merck Sharpe & Dohme, MetLife, and Sodimac as some of its clients.
Earlier this week, ZenithOptimedia acquired FirstClick Consulting in Australia, founded in 2005 and headquartered in Sydney. It provides clients across Australia with performance marketing services. FirstClick will also dissolve into Performics.
