Spark, the Publicis Groupe
media agency, continues to add to the string of wins it has put together this fall. The agency has been awarded the White Wave Foods media assignment after a formal review and separately, has won
media duties for Meijer, the midwestern big-box store chain. The agency has also consolidated the Mead Johnson assignment.
The incumbent on White Wave was Horizon Media. Mindshare is said to
have been a contender as well.
White Wave, the Denver-based marketer of plant-based foods (Silk Milk and Horizon Organic are two of its brands) spent close to $70 million on ads last year,
according to Kantar Media.
Doner had previously handled media duties for Meijer, based in Grand Rapids, MI. Doner won the business in March of 2014. Before that Empower MediaMarketing had the
business. Last year the company spent nearly $30 million on ads. Under the new arrangement Spark will handle media planning and buying for all media except print as well as data analytics.

Spark had been handling traditional media buying for Mead Johnson and now has been awarded the entire media planning and buying assignment for the company which spent about $26 million on ads last
year.
The wins continue a streak that the agency has put together this fall, including the consolidation of the $300 million Taco Bell media business. In October the shop added buying to its
existing strategy and planning assignment which it won in 2012.
It also recently won Valspar, Morgan Stanley and Providence Health and several other assignments.
