FCB Health Campaign Highlights The Global TB Crisis

FCB Health has created a new campaign for the TB Alliance designed to make consumers aware that tuberculosis is the leading cause of infectious disease deaths worldwide, according to the agency.

The campaign, called “Louder Than TB,” is tied to World TB Day (today). The centerpiece of the campaign is a video (it can be seen here) which shows a little girl increasingly struggling to breath but opens with no sound to highlight what the agency calls the “deafening silence behind the disease,” which has now spread to crisis proportions.

According to the agency each year, nearly 10 million people develop TB, at least one million of which are children under the age of 14. Last year 140,000 of them died.

The TB Alliance now has more than 30 partners including UNICEF, UNITAID, and the World Health Organization.
