adMarketplace Names New Chief Revenue Officer With Experience In AR, Computer Vision

Search advertising technology company adMarketplace has appointed Ariff Quli to the position of chief revenue officer. The news, announced Tuesday, puts an experienced ad executive with more than 10 years of leadership experience in the CRO seat who can support native advertising, augmented reality and computer vision.

Prior to joining adMarketplace officially on April 30, Quli supported Blippar, a mobile app AR advertising platform, as chief commercial officer responsible for leading the product platform sales as well as overseeing brand and agency partnerships for the augmented reality technology. He also served as president of the Americas and chief revenue officer at Vibrant Media, where he spearheaded the launch of the company's native and contextual ad tech platform, according to LinkedIn.

adMarketplace plans to take native search to the "next level" based on "an exciting product road map," he said, adding that he was brought in to strengthen and execute on this vision.

Quli has a background in harnessing market opportunity and product innovation to create innovative strategies. He brings deep experience in building digital media companies from the ground up, helping to turn them into global players.

"Right now our big focus is on helping consumers connect to relevant results in the first moment that they express intent," which helps advertisers drive positive business, he said.

Providing a hint of what advertisers might expect in the long term, Quli hopes to draw on his most recent experiences with machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) as the company continues to push outside the boundaries of native search.

Asked to name his biggest challenge for the year, Quli said that would be running a great company in a tough market. “It takes a lot to drive growth and continue to scale,” he said.

Adam Epstein, adMarketplace president and chief operating officer, pointed to Quli's "valuable insight into user behavior and native search."

Quli’s hire comes on the heels of a hiring spree at adMarketplace led by Lonnie Klein, who rejoined adMarketplace as vice president of talent acquisition in February. After his previous stint at adMarketplace, Klein ran his own executive search consultancy and previously held senior positions at boutique executive search firms, overseeing vice president to C-level searches within the digital media, tech, entertainment and sports industries.
