Pay TV operators will soon have a new option if they want to offer streaming versions of their TV packages.

The video delivery solutions firm MobiTV is launching a new solution called “MobiTV Connect” designed for just that purpose. MobiTV Connect is essentially a managed streaming video solution that gives the end user a modern streaming user experience on their connected devices, while working with the channel lineups, brand requirements, billing and authentication needs of pay TV providers. The company says that the solution is “turnkey,” and can be deployed within 90 days..

MobiTV says it has secured hosted streaming delivery rights for more than 210 channels, including those from NBCUniversal Viacom, Disney, Fox, AMC Networks, C-SPAN, Weather Channel and others.

While many of the largest pay TV providers such as Comcast and Spectrum have developed their own streaming solutions, many small and medium-size operators do not have the resources to do the same.

So far, MobiTV says that 35 pay TV operators have signed on, reaching a footprint of about 600,000 households.
