TiVo has selected SpotX as its supply-side platform (SSP).
SpotX, a video advertising platform for unifying TV, OTT and digital video, will help programmatically manage, sell, and optimize TiVo’s video ad inventory.
SpotX’s demand facilitation services will also connect advertisers to TiVo inventory running on its TiVo+ and CTV platforms.
TiVo is in the midst of trying to make a comeback by splitting itself into separate products and patents businesses.
TiVo+ is the company’s recently launched, AI-powered content
recommendation service, free for households that own TiVo devices.
In early 2020, it will also release a dongle that can be plugged into TVs to enable use of TiVo’s service by
broadband customers, and also provide AI-driven content recommendations.
