Wpromote Acquires Metric Digital To Expand D2C, Performance Marketing

Wpromote, which describes itself as a data-driven digital agency, has acquired Metric Digital, a marketing agency specializing in email, paid social media, Google ads and other services, effective March 1. Terms were not disclosed.

The purchase expands Wpromote’s East Coast presence, adds to its roster of direct-to-consumer digital-native clients and brings the company head count to 500, it says.

Metric Digital is a “go-to performance marketing agency for disruptor brands looking for sustainable growth in highly competitive industries,” states Wpromote founder and CEO Michael Mothner.

Founded in 2015 by CEO Kevin Simonson and John Pellinghelli, the agency serves such brands as Mizzen & Main, Sio Beauty, Vuori, and SoulCycle. 

Simonson will now serve as VP of of social at Wpromote, and COO Ryan Markman has been named VP of strategic operations.

Wpromote is a West Coast-based agency with seven offices throughout the U.S. Founded in 2001 by Mothner, it provides such services as paid search, SEO, social media, Amazon marketing, programmatic, video and digital intelligence. Its clients include Marriott, Whirlpool, TransUnion, Zenni, Adobe, and Frontier Airlines.

In the past four years, Wpromote has also acquired Standing Dog, Prime Visibility, DemandWave and Growth Pilots.
