Data integrity software firm Precisely has
signed a deal to acquire Infogix, a provider of data integrity and governance software. Terms were not disclosed.
The announcement comes two weeks after Precisely itself was acquired by
Capital Group and TA Associates in a reputed $3.5 billion deal originally announced in March.
The Infogix purchase combines two firms with expertise in data integrity, an important
capability for digital brands, including those that conduct email marketing.
“Infogix is a perfect fit for Precisely, with highly complementary data quality products and
services,” states Josh Rogers, CEO of Precisely.
Moreover, the acquisition adds “new capabilities in data governance, an important and growing focus for enterprises seeking to
ensure trusted data is used properly,” according to a statement by Behdad Eghbali, founder and managing partner, and Prashant Mehrotra, partner, at Clearlake.
The recent acquisition of
Precisely is said to be the second for Clearlake. Precisely, formerly known as Syncsort, was owned by Clearlake prior to its sale — along with Vision Solutions — to
Centerbridge in 2017, according to reports.
Later, Syncsort acquired the Pitney Bowes location data business for a reported $600 million.
Precisely says
it helps companies build their digital futures on a foundation of trusted data.
“As companies seek to position and differentiate themselves for the digital era, they quickly
realize that success requires trusted data,” Rogers says.
