New MoEngage Platform Helps Brands Manage Transactional Alerts, Firm Says

Customer engagement platform MoEngage has debuted a product that it says allows brands to manage multichannel transactional alerts through one API.

The new offering, MoEngage Inform, provides real-time transactional alerts — for example order or booking confirmations, delivery notifications, one-time passwords for logging in securely or messages about password resets, the company claims.

Engineering teams “can focus on delivering core offerings instead of building backend infrastructures, and product and marketing teams can deliver critical transactional alerts without breaking customer experiences,” says Raviteja Dodda, CEO and co-founder of MoEngage.

The launch is the company’s first since it raised $77 million Series E funding earlier this year. MoEngage Inform is a component of the MoEngage Customer Engagement Platform,

MoEngage notes that updating, and delivering alerts requires “significant engineering bandwidth and resources.”

The company claims that MoEngage Inform helps brands achieve unified customer experiences, centralized visibility and performance , reduced engineering resources and more autonomy.

For instance, users can leverage an algorithm that uses AI to determine what channels the customer prefers for receiving alerts, and automatically set a priority order.
