Google reportedly has approved the use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) with support from large language models (LLMs) to automate advertising and ad-supported consumer services.
Certain groups across Google plan to use PaLM 2-powered tools to allow advertisers to generate their own media assets and to suggest the type of videos YouTube creators should create.
PaLM-2, known also as Pathways Language Model 2, is an upgraded LLM.
The documents, seen by CNBC, suggest Google has been testing PaLM 2 for YouTube content for youths to generate things like titles, and descriptions.
Tests with the technology also are being done to experiment with the idea of providing five video ideas based on topics that appear relevant.
Google Marketing Live, an annual showcase for the latest ad product at Google, is set to take place on Tuesday.
This year the focus turns to AI-powered advertising solutions, according to the company's website. The company also plans to hold a special deep-dive session about its newest product announcements, including Q&A with the teams that built them.
