Gracenote, Nielsen’s content solutions unit, has launched a program designed to help programmers of all sizes get their free, ad-supported content and streaming services (FASTs) distributed by major streaming platforms.
Participants can submit their channel portfolios to Gracenote for enrichment of editorial and contextual data and access to rich program imagery to drive increased channel engagement.
Assignment of Gracenote IDs to participants’ content streamlines placement on major streaming platforms through the unit’s Listing Distribution Services and enables easier content discovery, according to the company.
Participants also receive a “Gracenote Certified” designation for pitching their FAST offerings to platforms that prefer or require standardized Gracenote metadata and IDs that meet their requirements and allow for turnkey integration of new channels.
