Publicis Groupe Executive Vice President-Managing Director Akhil Parekh has joined Nielsen as Chief Solutions Officer of its digital product, a newly created role at the media measurement giant.
Parekh, who has a long history of senior data and analytics roles in the media and advertising industry, will be responsible for expanding Nielsen throughout the "advertising ecosystem" vis a vis new digital products and enhancements.
Parekh, who reports to Nielsen Chief Product Officer for Audience Measurement Deirdre Thomas, will oversee Nielsen's planning and ads products teams, as well as strategic partnerships.
Prior to Publicis, Parekh held senior positions at Mediaocean, 4C Insights (acquired by Mediaocean), Rovi Corp., Amp’d Mobile, and ExcelaCom.
