Would You Like A Side Of Fries With That GSTV Ad Buy?


The lines between conventional place-based video advertising networks and so-called retail media networks continues to blur, and this morning GSTV announced the rollout of an integration with a retail payment tech developer -- Invenco by GVR -- that might blur it further.

The new offering, dubbed "Engage Media Full-Service," offers retailers the ability to easily deploy a unique, branded media experience designed to to drive in-store sales and foot traffic.


Based on details of the announcement, it's not immediately clear which entity actually will handle sales of the GVR-enabled brand offerings, but the companies said it is aimed at large- and mid-size fuel retailers that want to use their pumps to promote discounts and special product offerings to boost in-store traffic and sales.

The networks features include:

  • "White-labeled" video broadcast displayed on forecourt screens, customizable to seamlessly align with and extend a retailer's brand. This includes dedicated time in a retailer’s broadcast to tailor messaging options such as brand ads, proprietary services, loyalty, or promotions.
  • "Premium" family-friendly content built to capture customer attention, stay fresh and entertaining, and consistently drive in-store traffic.
  • Dedicated account management overseeing the media management process end-to-end for an effortless, zero-resource solution.
  • Access to a media sales team to facilitate national brand ads.
  • Access to marketing and creative services though GSTV’s in-house video production team.
